Welcome back to 1000 objects, my Kondo-esque quest to rid myself of 1000 objects this year. The rules: had to own it before 2023, I have to try and tell its story and I must say thank you and goodbye as Ms. Kondo suggested (even though she has kind of given up).
This is the first set of objects leaving the house that are not mine! They are my son’s, but I paid for them (mostly) so I’m adding them to the list.
More broken headphones! These ones are the second pair of playstation headphones, the first pair broke due to a common defect and these ones died in the software realm. No more wireless for them.
He wanted to clear out some old drawers to get ready for Christmas, which I hope will not derail my plan to end the year with fewer possessions than I started with. It went pretty well considering he is still totally into collecting. Old boxes, birthday cards, not shown due to a promise against personal exposure :), old lip balm, lanyards and crap.
The big win was finding other Christmas gift cash from years ago stuffed into the old cards. It was an unexpected win. So good bye junk drawer items, it is the trash can for you (except for the paper and electronics, we will recycle those).
